6. In between Synæsthetics and Translation: A Case Study in Sound Art

Synæsthetics is a process that does not favour any one system. This chapter will examine how translation works within the world of coding subterfuge as tactics and strategies of exposure. I intend to speculate about potential use in this field to illuminate the world of covert data use.

Notation within sound art and Music will be examined as a case study for sonification coding and translation.

Some of the main themes will involve the works of Brian Eno (Visual Music) and sound and haptics and pure data in the creations of Pierre Huyghe.
